Looking forward

During my bachelor I became a designer. I familiarised myself with standard processes and practices, and managed to find a direction that excites me – combining sustainability and biodiversity to create things that bring people in contact with nature. I know what I can and can’t do and can focus on improving myself in the areas I need to grow in.

Preferably working for smaller organisations in the future, it is important for me to be able to bring a design from first idea to completion, ready to be implemented in the real world. This is where I still lack knowledge and experience. That is why I will do the Strategic Product Design Master at Delft University, starting in September. There I will learn more about Industrial Design within the context of organizations, and to set up strategies that allow me to bring my designs, such as B&Bee, to market. Within the master, I will do the new sustainability track that works together with organizations such as NGO’s and governments to learn how sustainable design can be implemented.
